MAya 2018 can't move rotate or scale.

Hi i am trying to move my object and i cant seem to click the arrows/pivot points instead it just selects an area and i have this problem with the rotation and the scale tool as well . please help me fix it.

Try deleting your settings/preferences.

If that doesn't work, check your GPU driver and make sure it matches our certified hardware list.
