Maya 2018 and 2019 Freezing up on launch

Hello, all!

This is my first post on these forums and, sadly, it's due to a problem.

I'd been using Maya just fine after upgrading my pc and reinstalling Windows 10, but now, overnight, I'm unable to get any work done.

I've attached screenshots.

This is probably a GPU issue. What driver version are you using for your 2070? Please make sure you're using the same version as our certified hardware list.

You can find our certified hardware list here!

You can also try deleting your settings/preferences.

You're a lifesaver!

Resetting the prefs folder did it! I am using an unsupported driver version of my GPU though. Maya 2018 was working fine for the longest time and it apparently doesn't support my 2070 at all.
