Looks like loading images sequence for Maya camera in 2017 update 4 is broken. Can anyone verify? Is there a work around.

Hi @wreliford
I just tried it on my machine and it worked as intended. Can you explain in more detail what's happening on your machine?

I have a project that worked in update 3. I opened it today in update 4 and I get an error that it is "unable to load the image file". I have update 3 on a different machine and it works fine. I am using open exr file sequences. Is that what you are using? I will try jpg files.
I just took an image and saved it an an EXR and it opened fine in Maya as well. Maybe try deleting your settings/preferences.

im sorry, was the solution from support..'delete your preferences'?....wow...great that it worked, but delete prefs....really?
Hi @adenne
A surprising amount of issues can come from settings/preferences being changed. Sometimes users may accidentally change something critical, install faulty 3rd party plug-ins etc so we often recommend keeping a backup of your custom shelves, settings and preferences so that once the issue is resolved you can load back any changes that didn't cause the issue.
Hope this clarifies things a bit 🙂

Believe me, having used maya since day 1 I have deleted my prefs folder way too many times. My point is that its a really last ditch, bad solution generally.
