Maya 2017 missing ViewCube

When 2017 version is installed and opened there is no viewcube anywhere, I have tried to windows/preference/viewcube , it didn't work , also Ive tried Display/ heads up display/ Viewcube and also Ive tried switching Renderer to a legacy default Viewport but also it doesn't work. Error comes up saying that "Current rendering engine does not support Legacy Viewport"  PLEASE HELP ITS FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Hi!

Check Display Settings in Preferences, maybe you use DirectX.

Paste this in your MAYA ENV. MAYA_ENABLE_LEGACY_VIEWPORT=1 and the ViewCube will appear the nest time you boot MAYA. It still only works with Legacy Default Viewport. If you don't have a MYAY ENV make one. Cheers
