MAYA 2017 installed, facing differnt problems

Hi

I installed Maya 2017 opened it now and it gives me permanently this

// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2017/scripts/others/drInit.mel line 1961: Object '' not found. //

And if I open the rendersettings of Arnold it shows me nothing but a blank page, when I switch to Maya Hardware and back I can see all the settings.

Is this supossed to be like this?

What is this error?

Sometimes you have no choice but to delete the Documents\maya\2017 dir. I just fixed a strange problem by doing this ...

.. also getting some others. Just installed Maya 2017, Should I have uninstalled 2016 first?

 A quick alternative is to switch from Multi to Object Mode with the shortcut. F7 (Multi), then f8 (Object) Empty 2017 file as a worst case scenario? I noticed switching modes don't always work.

Actually this error seems to happen when the Modeling Toolkit fails to initialize on startup  (clicking the modeling toolkit on the top right would bring nothing)  The simple solution that ended all those errors is to just manually open up the Toolkit in Mesh Tools -> Show Modeling ToolKit. 

This problem only started happening when I try to get Turtle plugin running on initialization. Could just be an edge case.
