Goto File Pulldown menu and select "Archive Scene" - This will gather all the files related to the scene into one zip file - you can then unzip into other computers project folder

what version of Maya are you using? The Archive scene tool will gather all the relevant files into a zip file in 2016, but not 2015.

If you are using 2015, you need to add the collection folder for that scene to the zip manually. By default the collections folders are saved to

/maya/projects/default/xgen/collections

Then you need to unzip the folders to the equivalent places on the new computer to maintain the paths to the files.

I have tried this in 2017 and I have found that both the collections and xgen "export patchs for batch render" files are missing during inside the Zip. What would cause a collection from not being added? All paths are correct via the Path Editor. Can the Edit File Path list be the culprit?

Even after the transfer, I have found that the Xgen would not render (yes, set new project location) despite maya seeing it within the preview. In the end, I had to remove and re add the xgen archives to make it renderable. A bit of a pain but now works. Why would there be a disconnect between the render and preview?
