Low GPU Usage for Arnold 6

Just noticed in my Win10 Task Manager that the GPU only has about 6% utilization while CPU has about 30%. This is WHILE rendering a frame with the Arnold GPU (4.0.1 in Maya 2019). GPU render setting is turned on in the System tab. I am using a brand new RTX 2080 Ti and have the latest drivers. Is there a way make the GPU usage higher while rendering? Is this normal?

Just did a test to see my CPU to GPU usage.  The CPU usage jumps dramatically if I do not turn on GPU in the settings.  Turning on GPU drastically reduces the CPU usage.  I'm not sure there is a way to make the GPU use more than the CPU.  It may be that the GPU just crushes the render so fast that the CPU usage is normal.

Agreed, the GPU does a great job. However, using the GPU for a render shouldnt result in such a low GPU usage percentage. Especially on very large scenes where the GPU seems to be taking 30 minutes on one frame at only about 6 percent usage, I am wondering if the usage should be much higher to get the render completed faster on my 2080 Ti. I even installed the Nvidia Studio Driver and havent noticed a difference in render times.

Hello, using Nvidia RTX 8000 graphics card if i render batch in maya 2020 with arnold 6, (GPU render type in render settings)

still maya performance is in CPU not in GPU. CPU 100% and GPU 20%, does arnold 6 with maya supports 100% rendering in Batch render?

Arnold 6 for maya (GPU Rendering) is only supports,

1. Interactive render?

or

2. Batch and Sequence Render also?

Please help me

Are you using GPUz to monitore your Graphics card?

The Task manager isnt doing a great job in this case.

Batch render is not the maya process. You have to look at mayabatch

Please post an Info-level log for a render, so we know what's going on and have a starting point for a conversation.
