Layered TIF texture freezes UV editor window

When I use a layered TIF texture, panning and zooming become very slow in UV editor window.

When I collapse layers in Photoshop or hide the image in UV editor, it works fine.

Is there a way to fix it in Maya? Historically we use layered TIF as texture source and haven't any problems in 3DMax

Hi!

Layered TIF files can cause problems in Maya, that's a known issue.

Feel free to report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
In Maya main menu:
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

Currently the only workaround is to remove the layers.
