I am a college student. When I open maya, it looks like this. Clicking on anything does nothing, clicking new project freezes and then crashes maya after a few seconds.
It wont let me set a project, clicking on anything except 'go to maya' does absolutely nothing.
clicking on 'go to maya' takes me to the workspace, but nothing is there at all. almost blank:
clicking on anything in here just closes/crashes maya

I have tried installing and uninstalling maya several times, including different versions. I am using maya 2023 because it's what my college course asks me to do, I consulted with them and they didn't know how to fix the issue. Anybody have any ideas?
I have tried reinstalling preferences via deleting folders and such, I do not know what to do.
