Hi,

I keep having the reoccurring message attached and shown below appearing every-time I begin to model. If anyone can provide assistance that would be great.

I'm using the student account if that helps.

Thanks,

Vanesa

Hello, so if the message just appears but then doesn't affect how you see stuff or your ability to model I wouldn't worry. This is an Arnold node aiVolume warning message, but if you are not using Arnold or an Arnold ai standard volume I wouldn't worry about it. It could be that the Arnold plugin is not enabled. It depends what you are modeling too. If you are modelling clouds, fluids, or dynamic volumes then It could be a problem, but in my opinion it is just a warning because it is a yellow notice. If you click the little folder icon next to the warning, it should open script editor and give you more details.

Good luck!

Unfortunately, I wish it was something that I could overlook but it’s causing Maya to crash every time I begin to model a chess pawn for my class.

Do you know how I can get it to work?

I’ve tried to uninstall the program and closed all my programs to see if it would help. But every time I begin to use  the vector tool it just crashes on me.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, didn't notice your question there. Anyhow. Most of the time that Maya Crashes is because it runs out of memory in my opinion. The suggestions I can say is to make sure no other programs are running using Task Manager if your are using Windows. Close anything that doesn't need to be open, you can open it manually if you need it. You can also right-click the Maya icon on desktop and choose to Run As Administrator. Sometimes that helps. Since the error is the cause of the problem, what does it say when you open Script Editor to read more of the error maybe.

Maybe try setting your renderer to Maya Software if it is set to Arnold. And if it is set to Arnold then try setting to Maya Software renderer.  I will see what else I can find out about that error message, see what  I can find. Kinda  difficult to diagnose a problem that maybe comes from an error but maybe not.
