Is it possible to compare two 3D model automatically whether they are the same or not? (with binary files etc)

I am planning to get PSD format 3D model and join that 3D model into 3D background.
After the work, I would like to check whether the 3D model is the same in geometrical way with the original PSD file automatically, may be comparing the binary files(?).

I am very new to Maya. So not sure what is possible in Maya. I would appreciate if you can share your thoughts.

Hi @donghyun_2_lee ,

I would like to clarify your question before i can answer, are you wanting to compare two seemingly identical 3d geometries in Maya, or are you trying to merge one 3d model into a scene with another?

If you save your file out as an FBX file format, that should be the best way to do either of the above. You mention PSD files, was your 3d model created in photoshop? Are you expecting to import the models with materials?

Hope i can help, warm regards.
