Insertion Point

When inserting a polygon shape, is there a way to change the point its inserted at? 

Default it comes in at 0,0,0 but I want it to come in where I'm modeling at. Can this be done?

You can turn on interactive creation for this. During interactive primitive creation, you can snap the polygon to existing objects in the scene.
