Importing OBJ files

I am having trouble importing .obj file formats into an new Maya scene. I can import it but does not show up. Please help...I tried to open and import and drag and drop it onto the icon. Is the file I am trying to import to large in file size?

I can not send the file to you it is too big to send via email but here are screen shots of the file. Is the file size to large? Is there another way to ship you the file I am trying to import…?

Hi!

The file imports fine here,

but the object is offset from the scene origin, so you need to move your camera.

Just hit "A" on the keyboard after the import.

I was able to import the file as well, though it took some time and Maya got really heavy.

I don't know your machine specs, but the file is quite big so you should probably try to work on a lighter version!
