Image plane disappeared 2018.2

I've done a lot of searching and found similar issues but nothing quite the same. I have multiple image planes in the scene which I added through view > image plane > import image. I do this for each view, and in image plane attributes, i set display to looking through camera front for instance. If I set up two image planes for front and side views, and set display to looking through camera, when I load the scene after closing it the image planes are no longer visible in the appropriate views.

To get the planes to work again, I have to click in all views, and switch it back to looking through camera. I have to do this every time I reload a scene with image planes.

Hi!

I can confirm this.

This is clearly a problem with Viewport 2.0,

the file is saved correct, the connections are there  and it works if you select a Legacy Viewport for your Panels.

With Viewport 2.0 only one imagePlane will be displayed.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.

Good idea. Hopefully they're able to reproduce it.

Just for anyone else like me desperately looking for a fix,

For some reason if you create a blank plane in the environment tab of camera (in attribute editor) and load the image, it works fine. Not sure how or why.
