Hypershade tabs gone

Hi, I accidentally removed all my tabs in Hypershade, how do i get them back ?

You can try deleting your settings/preferences.

You cant find your folder with your settings/preferences?

It should be in Documents>Maya>2017 and it will be labeled 'prefs'

Hmm, no its not there… is there a way to manually add all the tabs back ?

if you want, you can go to "Window" at the top of the hypershade window and select the first five items one at a time. then, you can arrange the windows that pop up.

Try what @Anonymous suggested but if that doesn't work you may want to do a full uninstall and reinstall of Maya.

Hi!

Just to make sure, you replaced "USERNAME" with your "username" like "deblsc" or whatever your user account on your computer is named?

(You may try a reset inside the Preferences window inside Maya but this might not be enough)

oh yes i finally found the folder, after renaming the preferences folder my hyper shade tabs go back to the default ! thank you so much !
