if you really never want to see the output window on Windows there is the command line option -hideConsole that can be added to the maya.exe command line when starting. you will lose any messages that would normally be output to stdout/stderr

This works when we click the maya shortcut to open a new scene, thanks.
How to skip opening the window in case we click an .mb? I know it can be a shock to system designers - but 99% of users really never want to see it.

Here is a simpler GIF explaining it.
Create an Environment Variable called
MAYA_NO_CONSOLE_WINDOW
set it to 1
That's it!

The Environment Variable method is working. The hero we have waited centuries to see!
