I just installed Maya 2024 in Ubuntu 24.04 (I couldn't get Maya 2025 or 2026 to run). The graph editor is unusable unresponsive. It seems to be able to load, but will take upwards of 30 seconds at a time. The issue is mostly restricted to resizing the window, zooming, clicking and dragging to box select, or displaying a different set of curves. If I have keyframes selected I'm able to freely move them around in the window (provided I don't do any of the previously mentioned actions).
Attempted fixes:
Tried using the rendering engine in OpenGL - Core Profile (Compaitiblity), Open Gl - Core Profile (Strict), and OpenGL - Legacy
Tried adding MAYA_VP2_DEVICE_OVERRIDE=VirtualDeviceDx11 to Maya.env
Tried changing animation evaluation to DG, Serial, and Parallel.
Tried turning off GPU override.
The script editor displays no errors and only a warning about Arnold not being installed.
Hardware:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6
Let me know if there's any other information I can provide!
