GPU support for maya 2018

I installed this and it runs fine. I am struggling with using the program as I am learning the intricacy of this program. However, I found that the 2018 version doesn't list my GPU under the system requirements. Is there any chance that is going to effect my experience or anything within the program? Or should i down grade to one that does support my GPU(Nvidia GTX 1050Ti), which sadly doesn't come with the student offer.. So it would either be free trial or the retail price of the product. Thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

While your card may not be listed under our certified hardware, you shouldn't have any issues running Maya. Generally any dedicated GPU will be fine running Maya especially most Nvidia geforce cards!

Please let me know if is helpful or if you need any more information!

Hi @Anonymous

For nvidia cards you should be able to use the GeForce Experience and the Nvidia Control Panel

Please let me know if this helps or if you need any more information!

I am also facing the same problem . I too have the same Geforce GTx 1050 ti 4GB, But i using old gigabyte board AMD phenom 9950 Quad core processor  Model GA- MA78G-DSH with PCI 2.0 x16. 8 GB DDR2 800. 1 TB hard disk. It is SSE 4.2supported. Arnold plugin not working giving error message. I have attached the error message also. Please help it.

Actions took

1. I have downloaded Arnold plugin from solid angle also didn't work.

2. Updated the graphics card driver also didn't work.

3. Some form some one had same problem they mentioned Arnold supports only SSE 4.2 processor. I check it, My processor supports SSE 4.2

4. This card seems to be some what latest , but not listed in Maya certified Hardware, is that the reason.

If i upgrade to my mother board to ROG Maximums X Hero with Core i5 8th gen processor will Arnold works.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee help me run it.
