Hi @Anonymous

A quick test you can try is deleting your settings/preferences and making sure your GPU driver version is the same as our certified hardware list.

You can find our certified hardware list here!

Also, how large is the scene? If the scene is in the millions of polygons then duplicating a mesh could take up a lot of resources.

Hello, thank you very much for your time.

Yes i already delete several times my userprefs and i try to reinstall, but still nothing, I also try to format my computer.

I check your list and my graphic card seems to be recognize.

My scene have something like 3m polygons and i don't know from when it happens. i link you an other screenshot with polygon view.

PS : i have an other preoblem, my arnold view is lagging very hard. i can only use the viewport anorld render... may be it's related ?

Hi @Anonymous

This is probably happening due to the sheer amount of polygons in your scene.

Even with the new 2000 series GPUs your scene is so heavy that there is gonna be some lag when duplicating a mesh and/or trying to render.

You can try updating your GPU drivers, but most likely you will need to manage your scene and remove unnecessary assets and/or use reference files to save on space and whats in the viewport.

Steps to update your drivers can be found here!

Hi @Anonymous

It can also depend on your Maya version. 2018 isn't certified to work with your GPU but 2019 is. So your best bet of not seeing this issue would be to work in 2019.

Are there any other major differences between your laptop and other computer?

Hi, Sean
Thank you again for your time.

I already have the latest version on my computer. I try to work now but it's impossible ... i try to duplicate an object the scene freeze and crash again.

I try to open project in 2018 but that the same.

Now i will take the project and i will work on my laptop. It lagging a bit but it doesn't crash all the time.

My laptop have 1070gtx and i7 7th gen with 16ram he's lagging but i prefer this to the crash of my computer.

Ps: my computer never lag i can see the power of the computer but it just crash every time .. it's very frustrating because i can't find any solutions and i can't move forward ...

Hi @Anonymous

Glad to hear it is at least working on your laptop.

When you get a chance, can you please zip and attach the scene file here or via dropbox/google drive or another file sharing program so I can take a look at it? If the file is confidential or under NDA please send it to me in a private message instead of posting it here.
