File selection window not remembering positon

I just started using Maya 2019 after using 2016 and have found that the file selection window (open, export, save as, anything to do with browsing and selecting a file) doesn't remember it's position or resets to the far bottom right of active displays. All other windows like UV editor, Hypershade, etc, are fine.

I run 3 monitors in an L shape, 2 bottom ones off my GPU, 1 off the top on the CPU.  It doesn't matter which screen I set as primary, it resets to the bottom right corner of the right most display. It is a pain as I am working on the bottom left monitor and the selection window always appears at the bottom right of my right monitor.  It is a bit weird where it appears, it sticks to the far bottom right corner, appearing under the taskbar. I can easily move it to my second monitor as it is a large window, but it is annoying all the same, especially when setting up materials or exporting pieces.

I only installed Maya 2019 today and generated new preferences. I am running Windows 10 (up to date). I have double checked my preferences and the "remember window position" option is ticked.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

It sometimes happens to me as well...

A few times I think it's because I have multiple instances of Maya open, and the place the windows appear might get scrambled or something like that.

Other times, it might be due to Maya crashing and not saving the position of the window.

But there are other situations when I have no idea why it happens as well...😐

Thanks for the reply confirming that it can happen.  Mine does it every time and always the same position regardless of any other action or process.  I have only been running 1 instance of Maya and it hasn't crashed on me at all, yet.

Anything further on a fix for this?  It is rather annoying.

Is there a better place than here to report bugs?
