Extend motion path without changing existing points

I  have a motion path keyed out that works great, but it's too short.   What's the best way to add more path?   Can you create a second curve and join the motion paths together or is there another way that works better?

Do you want to extend how long the motion plays for?

 

If so you could simply move the key(s) down later in the animation.

Sean - I do want to extend how long the motion path is, that is correct. If I extend the length of the keys and drag the path bigger though, it will mess up the timing on the existing path.

I might be misunderstanding your issue. When you get a chance, can you please post a video or screenshots of your issue so I can get a better idea of how to help you?
