Export STEP file to FreeCad

Hello, I've done nice project in Autodesk Maya and I asked my friend if he could mill it on his cnc machine. He asked me for .stp file. I knew It has to do smth with AutoCad so I've downloaded FreeCad. I would like to export my project from Maya in a STEP file and import it into FreeCad without creating the project from scratch in FreeCad.

Here's what I do.

In Maya: Export all -> STEP_ATF

But when I import this file into FreeCad it doesn't anything.

Also when I try to import this stp file into Maya it doesn't show anything either.

I attach maya file of the project - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FIxcRj2vFcqqmgrcjwnoLTk53_AicmtA

Thank you for help.

I recommend to install the latest version of Maya 2019.

I got newest Maya 2019. Still, I have a problem importing this project to freecad to get stepfile. Can you try it on your computer? I've put the link to my file in the topic. Thanks

Again, I have 2 plates in program here - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1m6gvyiAuHRL6FsF1RKspsBQAvbMTgvP-.

I want to get .stp file of each plate to be able to make them on cnc machine. I can not do that. I've dowloaded autocad 2019 trial edition and when I import stp file from Maya It shows text or something not object

Hi!

Your scene does not contain any nurbs objects.

To export polygon objects, use an other format like .OBJ or STL.

I think I've solved my problem. Exporting file into obj and then importing to autocad did work.

Thank you!
