Hello everyone 

I am newbie in Maya just started learning it 1 week ago , so don't please get mad if I say something stupid 🙂

Yesterday I got a problem with Maya , when I load my scene everything lost the colors became grey and one part for some reasons white.

I tried to google about it already 2 hours , but I give up , that's why I am making my post. I tried already to switch on/off all the hot keys , change viewport and etc., but nothing helps colors don't come back there should be on back image it's completely hidden too. I have suggestion that something happened with my graphic card. Because in "Output Window" of Maya there is written :

I already checked all the drivers updates , computers updates , tested graphic card it self - nothing seems wrong. I can't proceed with learning Maya because of that 😞 I hope somebody can help me , I really want to come back to my work.

Hi!

If it worked before and you can view new textures assigned to materials on new objects it's not the graphic card, although it's strange that the nvidia driver version will not be detected.

 

Please open Windows -> Rendering Editors Hypershade -> and check if the textures assigned to your materials still point to a valid path.

You also can use Windows -> General Editors -> File Path Editor for a quick overview and corrections of file paths.

 

It's also possible to override the texture display per object/layer (Drawing Overrides -> Texturing / Drawing Override Options -> Texturing).

Thank you , your post was really helpful! For some reasons my path in Windows -> Rendering Editors >Hypershade was for some colours diffrent , but after changing it didn't solve anything , but Windows -> General Editors -> File Path Editor was showing no problems and anyway I was thinking to try to push bottom  "Auto-Resolve" and it fixed it. Thank you
