Error loading plugin

Hello.

Im having a problem with Maya since Windows latest update. Whenever I try to load Plugin (bullet plugin specifically) there's this error message saying "Fatal error attempting to save file in (foldername)." I already install and uninstall it and did everything I can find online but nothing is working.

Can somebody help?

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

When you get the fatal error does it generate an error report to fill it out and submit to Autodesk? If so, please fill it out and let me know what the CER report number is.

If the issue still persists, the Windows update may have damaged the plugin files and/or Maya files. When you uninstall/reinstalled did you perform a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya?

If not then you may want to try that. Please let me know if anything changes!

Hello again.

I tried the clean install and it still show the same error. But this time the error report doesn't come out so I can't check the CER number.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting the CER report number!

This seems to be related to an issue with opencl. Try going to Documents->maya->2018->Maya.env and open that file in Notepad. Once the file is open add this line then save it, close it and launch Maya.

MAYA_IGNORE_OPENCL_VERSION=1

Please let me know if this works!

Hello again.

Im sorry but it still doesn't work.

At first I already have "MAYA_DISABLE_OPENCL=1" in the MAYA.env file so I replaced it with "MAYA_IGNORE_OPENCL_VERSION=1" but then it gave the error report when I launched it and crashes. I put the disable opencl back along with the ignore opencl and it is able to launch but it still won't let me load bullet.mll plugin.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Hi!

This system is not suitable for Maya.

Only 8GB RAM and no dedicated GPU.

The main problem is the embedded GPU (Intel HD 520), i think you have to accept some limitations with this system.

You still can try different Render Engine settings in Preferences.
