Hi everyone!

I'm having some error message as soon as I open Maya and hit spacebar for Hotbox and click on "Windows" tab:

// Error: buildViewMenu("MayaWindow|mainWindowMenu")};
// Error: Line 1.43: Syntax error

This error massage let me concearned. And i knows almost zero about coding.

I tryed reinstall Maya and delete the "prefs" folder. But it didn't solve the problem.

If someone knows hot to fix it, i will be very apreciated.

I provided some files to show what i'm talking about.

Hello, I couldn't solve it in Maya 2024 either. Did you solve it?

Not actually. I just leaved as it is and moved on.
This error does not occur to me on 2025 or even in the 2024 version on a
macOS.

Thank you for your response. I didn't encounter any issues with Maya 2024.1 in my tests. Hopefully, 2024.3 has fixed it.

I'm getting this same issue in 2024.2 with a fresh install. Was there any fix for this?

This has been flashing across my script bar like crazy. Wish someone would do something about it.
