Educational Version VS Student Version Maya 2022

Hello,

I am one of the IT Techs at a college.  We have a teacher that is saying there are differences between a "Student Version" and an "Educational Version".  Mainly a watermark and some features being unavailable.  I am trying to find information on what the different version types mean.  I can sign in with an Autodesk ID and I get a "User License: Student Version".  If I enter our serial number I get "Device License: Educational Version" (network server gives "Network License: Educational Version").

Is there a document that outlines the different versions?

Thanks

A student or teacher can get a single-user license. Then they just sign in with their Autodesk ID to use Maya.

An "educator" or IT Admin (iirc those are the roles you can select) can get network licenses. So if you want to set up a license server (for example, for an Arnold render farm), you can do it that way.

The only watermark I know of is for Arnold. If you don't have an Arnold license, you get a watermark in batch renders

If you're using Maya or 3ds Max, you don't get a watermark in the user interface, that's a special benefit for Maya and 3ds Max users. But if you're teaching CINEMA 4D or some other app, then you would need Arnold licenses for the user interface too.
