It's possible to change numeric fields in the Attribute Editor by holding the Ctrl key and clicking and dragging left & right with the mouse. Ctrl + LMB drag in any field in the AE produces a "slow" change of 1/100ths, Ctrl+MMB a "medium" change of 1/10ths, and Ctrl+RMB a "fast" change of 1's.
But I regularly find that the "slow" change isn't anywhere slow enough, and would like to be able to set it to whatever increment I want - 1/1000ths, or even smaller.
