Edit Uv's on hidden objects?

Hello, I was hoping someone might have an idea to get around an issue I've been having.

We have a character that has an attribute which changes their clothing slightly. but it seems some of the Uv's overlap since they share the same udim. so when clothing option one is selected in the attributes, it hides all the other geo and shows the selected version. however I cannot see the uv's of objects whilst they are hidden, so laying them out without overlap is all guesswork. Is there a way to edit the uv's on objects that are hidden?

What about unhiding it?

Yeah, it appears you have to have the object be visible to see it's UVs in the UV Editor, I'm afraid. So depending on how the items are hidden for this animation setup, you'll need to unhide the multiple objects to see their UV layouts, which may be fairly straightforward, again, depending on the rig. Let us know if you need a hand with doing that without disrupting your animation/rig (by explaining how it's setup, please).
