Cant import wavefront obj into maya

I cant import wavefront obj into maya and was wondering if there was a good work around?

Sorry im not allowed to post the files. I know 3ds will open wavefront but i have maya.

Hi Sean

Sorry its been crazy, I found a work around i downloaded the fbx converter
and converted the obj to fbx which seams to work
