Can't save interactive xgen descriptions or move to other PC

Hi there,

I have a maya scene which works perfectly on mac I can move the object and the xgen interactive groom follows, it renders fine and works great as its stored in the maya scene.

When i archive the scene and send it to a supplier they can also open it and it renders fine however it cant be moved without the xgen staying behind.

I tried to export the descriptions to send but it says 'no collections are available' porbably because interactive is meant to be stored in the file.

Any ideas?

I looked in the set project folder and there is no xgen files present I also tried a computer wise search for these xgen files and cant find.

any ideas?

thanks.

What about convertig the xgen core to interacive.
That will store all data inside the maya file.

Is the scene saved on frame 0?

Xgen needs that to initialize.

If you move the timeslider later it should follow.

OKay i have noticed that a few grooms move and 1 or 2 don't, Im wondering if its something to do with the mesh its generated from, I looked for keys and i cant see any keyframes so shouldnt be that.

I have fixed it by setting frame to 0 but also on the groom that was the issue i turned on 'frozen' and it seemed to work.
