I am currently doing the Lynda course on Maya 2015 Essentials, and I've encountered an issue with shadows. When I turn them on, black flecks appear on the body of my model.
It's a phone texture, bright yellow. The flecks do not show up when I render a frame, only in the viewport. The problem is caused by ray trace shadows, not sure how to fix it. Simply switiching ray trace shadows would eliminate the shadow.
Is there any way to keep my shadows but lose the black flecks?
