annoying issue with pentablet.

I'm using Maya 2018 and I have a really annoying issue with my pen tablet.
Maya is randomly changing, without my action, the assinged MMB and RMB to my pen so my button for
zoomingk-in in the viewport gets re-assigned to the same key as the button to orbit around in the scene.
This causes two different buttons to have the same command and the zooming in becomes disabled.

I can temporary solve this problem by restarting the computer but there must be some other way to solves this.
I have looked in the preferences but I cant find any options for the pentablet.

Thanks in advance

I know this issue - on Surface book 2 touch and pen stop working when using 3D software . It's pen driver issue.

I guess it's similar issue. Which equipment do you use?Could you upgrade the driver?

I see. Thank you Tony for your answer. I'm using a PC with windows 10 and a wacom intuos pen. As far as I know, the driver for the wacom tablet is set on auto update.

You can test if MMB and RMB issue appear in Maya, or other software. If it's Maya issue, why you need restart windows? I guess relaunch Maya or reset Maya will fix this issue.

The wierd part of the problem is that restarting maya sometimes solves it, sometimes it doesent, but restarting the computer always solves the problem. Its only maya.

The problem seems to have been solved.  There are settings for the pentablet in the windows system itself and for some reason, changing the option from left-handed tablet to right-handed tablet seems to have solved it.
