Alembic export not writing animated visibilty

I have a character with pieces that turn off and on through out an animation. Exporting to an alembic only results in whatever is visible in the first frame being on.. I have tried exporting with animation set to Parallel, DG, and Serial... I have tried baking keys as well... nothing results in getting the visual channel animation into an alembic....
