About node editor-> connect selected nodes (csn) how to use this command? Why doesn't it work?

So I found such a command (connectSelectedNodes(csn)) in the hotkey editor, which is bound with a "C" as a shortcut key by default.
The description says that its function is (create a connection between all selected nodes in the editor. The default output port of one node is connected to the default input port of the next node in the selection order.)

Then I created some nodes in the node editor, and then I can achieve a similar effect by pressing ctrl+ middle key, but when I use the shortcut key C or the mel script above in the script editor, it doesn't work at all, whether it's 2024 or 2018.

Besides, I don't know why the script of this command is completely different in 2024 and 2018.

In addition, can someone tell me what these two functions are for and what effect they have? I know my interface is in Chinese, but you can find it in the same place.

And what are these four commands for? They look a little similar to the function of the green box, but I have set them as hotkeys and used them without any change.
