Hi there,
so this is like my first forum thread ever.
I am wondering if there is a way to convert the objects, you get when using MASH, into "real" geometry. I'm talking about meshes that got seperated from the instancer etc and that you can then use, edit and so on like you can do with a regular built mesh.
For example, i want the bricks from my scene to become regular geometry, that I can move around brick by brick.
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
A) Mash -> Utilities -> Bake Instancer to objects (one mesh per instance is created, with visibility disabled), or
B) Mash -> Utilities -> Switch Mash Geometry Type ( this creates 1 single Mesh instead of instances)
What about cacheing out the Trailsmesh object that is generated from MASH?
It comes as a separate object from the Repromesh object and when I try to cache the animation of it out to Alembic it gives a warning that the trails_MeshShape has no polygons..
What is the proper way to cache out an animation of just the trails mesh from MASH?
Hi!
At the first frame there are no Polygons that's correct, no movement at start point => no trail.
Still the Alembic export and import works here.
Hi!
This has not been changed.
This still can be found in the Animation and FX menu of Maya.
For further help, please provide a screenshot and the exact Maya version you are using (like Maya 2022.1) .
