Multiple Mash networks, dynamics and fields

I have a scene with multiple Mash networks and dynamics.  I am using fields to move some of the mash objects.  Is it possible to have some fields affect some Mash networks while other fields only affect other Mash Networks?

Hi!

Any field/force/solver in Maya need to be connected to an object to affect it. So can you specify which objects are affected by a field/force/solver.

Hi mspeer.  Thanks for your response.  I’m not sure if that is the case with Mash Dynamics.  The field gets assigned/connected to the Mash bullet solver and there doesn’t appear to be a way to assign it to a particular mash repro nodes and not others.  I’ve tried using the Dynamic Relationship Editor (what I would use if I were using regular Maya dynamics) but it  doesn’t seem to work with Mash.  I am happy to be proven wrong or if you know a work around!

Hi!

You can use Per Point Adjustments of the MASH Dynamcis node to get further control over points inside the MASH Network even the "Active" state. (Keep in mind that MASH is a procedural animation tool and it's not made to do individual object animations.)

Hi Tony,

That’s awesome.  I couldn’t work out how to add two solvers before.  Thanks!  Any chance that objects with different solvers can be made to recognise each other (i.e. collide)?
