Emit Softbody object -growing from nothing into an object - Not Working in 2016

Hi All,

I was looking into a solution to an issue I was having and remembered way back in the past that you could create a softbody, create a separate emitter, connect the two, kill the particles on the softbody with lifespan = 0, set the initial state, so that there were no live particles at frame 1.

Then change lifespan back to 1 with a very low emission,  you could "emit" the softbody as you playback the scene  As the particles were born the softbody would would form.

Nope - it just pops back on into the original creation location in 1 frame!

What have you done Autodesk?  That used to be a cool feature - and now you can't grow geometry that way?

Tried both types of particles - they do the same thing - neither of the these files work.

Hi,

for the particle object you can turn off the attribute "Enforce Count From History" which you will only find in the ChannelBox.

If this is on the particle object takes care that there is a particle for each vertex on the soft body.
