I'm a new user and I'm stuck. I've finished my rendered character. I have a HDRI image on my SkyDomeLight of deep space (so it must be dark out there). I have spotLights on my character and I've turned up the cone angle, intesity, messed with the penumbra angle.... no matter what I do, my character remains in a dimly lit area (and the deep space outside my "craft") gets brighter and brighter. I know I'm missing something but I don't know what.
My goal is to have my character lit up (inside the "craft") and the HDRI space image, to remain dark....like space is supposed to be. The first one below is what it should look like and the second is what's happening. What is should look like
