I've been trying to make a seamless looping animation by blending two identical animation clips together in the Trax editor and then offsetting the starting point of the animation to match the blend length. This has worked in the past with both dynamic caches and animation clips.
I have made successful 100-frame blends. But after making a 200-frame blend, the blend fails in that the animation abruptly snaps at points rather than transitioning smoothly.
Is there some kind of frame limit to blends?
I've attached screen caps of the two examples, a working 100-frame blend and a glitchy 200-frame blend.
Hi!
There is no frame limit for Blends.
This looks more like a rotation issue, please try an other "Rotation interpolation" for the Blend.
Thanks - I tried Euler instead of Quaternion, and had the same glitchy results.
Wondering if it's something else in the workflow:
- starting with keyframed animation (with rotation and translation, baked from an expression)
- select it to create an animation clip in Trax editor
- duplicate the clip, shift duplicate down
- blend the clips (with either quaternion or euler)
Hi!
I created a 600 frames sequence also with rotation, still no problem.
