Skin weighting help

I have been doing this facial rig for this character and everything has been going well until I noticed that the character gets a bit of a pelican jaw. I tried to fix it, but I keep creating new problems throughout the process. So I was how I could fix this efficiently.

Also

I want to animate my facial controls without using the slider, but while keeping it at the same time

Right now I am unable to animate the facial rigs unless I use the slider that I set the driven key to. I want to be able to animate both the facial rigs and sliders for animation.

I also noticed blue tags near the translate attributes in the channel box for the NURBS that I have set a driven key to.

Thank you

To fix the jaw problem either you have to fix it by using paint skin weight tool or hammer skin weight tool.

You can control the sliders in the channel box by creating curves and connecting its values to the setdriven key channels using connection editor or node editor.

The blue tag is a visual representation of which channels have the set driven key connections.

Thank you very much. Also when you "curves" do you mean Nurbs? Also, I already have set driven keys connected to the nurbs. I just want to animate it will using the sliders and the control nurbs.

I'm sorry, but I do not understand what you mean by this

"You can control the sliders in the channel box by creating curves and connecting its values to the setdriven key channels using connection editor or node editor."

I'm just trying to use the slider and the controls at the same time to make animation a lot easier. I really do not know how to further explain it.

Yeah, that can be done. It's too much to type so if you share the file then I'll show you how it's done.

To achieve this without messing up your current rig setup we can create another controller and parent it under the face controller that you want to work like that and then delete its corresponding joints constrain. Then constrain that joint with the new controller and vola !.

Feel free to ask questions

I'm attaching a screencast that contains the process mentioned above.

Thank you so much for your help. Last question though. How do I bring up that little search bar in your video?
