I've taken a few modeling classes in Maya for modeling and one for animation but personally not as strong at the latter. I'm trying to animate a V6 engine's pistons so that they move appropriately. I have attached a video to show what I have so far but I don't want the piston head to move out of the engine block like it currently is. I achieved the motion I have by using a joint, 2 locators, and point constraints. How can I make the piston heads move properly in the right path?
