I use Maya 2018.5/2019
I have a Daz G8 character (with Skeleton and Skin).
I want to have/keep my bone rotation limits with HIK but i can’t do it in Maya for some reason that i don’t know
First, i define the skeleton.
- If i create Control Rig with Bone Rotation limits “On”, my Character and Control Rig are broken, but limits seems to work (when i move HIK effector, it stops and bring me back in certain areas/angles).
- If i create Control Rig with Bone Rotation limits “Off”, my Character and Control Rig looks good, but limits not working at all (when i move HIK effector, it goes in all angles/positions).
And if i activate Bone Limits after Control Rig creation, they do nothing.
I try MotionBuilder 2018/2019 for the same task and it work as it should.
- When Limits “Off”, it’s Off.
- When Limits “On”, Control Rig Looks good, Mesh not messing. Limits work how they should.
If i export Character with working limits from MB to Maya, limits don’t work again
Left side (for viewer) limits “On”, Right side (for viewer) limits “Off” (before Control Rig creation)
How i can get results in Maya like i have in MotionBuilder?
