Hello everyone
I'm trying to do a quadruped tiger animation but for some reason my Maya (Maya 2019) is lagging heavily.
moving around the view port can also be very slow at times but when I try to scroll along the time slider or use the rigs controls it takes up 3 or 4 seconds if not more. it was working fine the day before. the rig only has a High Res option and the only other assets in the scene are to mesh shapes that are meant to be rocks. I've made sure there are no hidden motion trails etc but its still very slow I need this animation for a job application so any help would be appreciated.
My PC specs.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8500 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Try Prefs>Animation>EvaluationMode: Parallel. This speeds up everything drastically, yet, ensure you have AutoSave and Increments enabled, as it makes Maya less stable, especially when working with complex rigs.

Maya2019.1 @ Windows10 & GeForce GTX1080Ti
