when creating facial blendshapes you would want to conform a preexisting mesh to a 3d scan. currently we need to fall back to other software for this like russian wrap and wrap 4d.
Landmark or pin (shrink) wrapping would be a first major step in having a facial pipe in maya, then secondly having a wrap brush would be also be cool to snap vertices to the closest point on surface of the scan.
we scripted some stuff using the api but when working in the shape editor only the cmds.move gets registerd as an edit to a target. The result is a slow script that is not convenient.
please also add flags to xform and other api commands to get registered as edits to blendshape targets.
