FK/IK leg glitching in animation when IK is enabled (Mixamo rig)

Hello, I have a problem with my character rig. It was rigged/skinned with Mixamo and the controls were added through Mixamo Auto Control Rig v1.6.0

Everything works fine until I start animating a lower half of the rig, from hips to feet. A leg IK handle can be positioned fine but once I start playing the animation, it starts to randomly glitch, move in strange directions and switch between the IK and FK bones.

I tried to mess with the IK handle settings but with no luck. A documentation for Mixamo Auto Control Rig is nonexistant since it was discarded 2 years ago and I don't really know how to fix it since I'm a student and I have no idea what could be wrong.

Can anyone please look at the attached video and tell me what could be wrong?

I have this same problem! I could not get it fixede so i basically re-rigged the legs. If anyone can fix this I would love to see how.

Instead of keying every channel, what happens if you only key the translateZ?  I couldn't read the other channels but maybe one of them is causing issues.

Solution:

Go into Preferences>Animation>EvaluationMode

Change it to DG.

You're welcome 🙂

Wow this helped so much thank you! Why would anyone pick evaluation mode over DG then why is evaluation mode a thing in the first place?
