I'm following along with the Maya Learning Channel advanced rigging playlist on YouTube and I am working on the finger joints in part 31. I am trying to scale the fingers using the length attribute, and whilst everything works the geometry scales weirdly and tilts off to the side. The thumb geometry is also not scaling in the way I'd expect it to. The original mesh did not have straight fingers so I cut the geometry and zeroed the joints in order to make them straight but this may be where the issue is.
I have attached the scene file for anyone to take a look if they know! I'm really not sure how to fix this issue so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I'm using Maya 2020 on Mac.
