Does anyone know how to do this? Polygon to affect another polygon's mesh?

Here is what I'm trying to do. Right now I have a polygon and a cone, see here: https://imgur.com/OVq6Ia6

I want the cone to affect the polygon so wherever the cone is, it pushes the mesh of the polygon to conform to its shape, like so: https://imgur.com/OVq6Ia6

And then make it so wherever I move the cone, the mesh "deforms" and follows along the cone, for example if I position the cone along the x and z axis, the polygonal mesh's deformation also moves along with it.

interesting, it seems to be a bit more complicated than I thought.. I wonder if theres a way to not use bifrost? maybe a simpler solution? but thank you very much for the link!

1. Create a plane very subdivided.

2. create your cone with a rounded tip.

3. place your plane above the cone

4. select plane then cone and open the settings of the shrinkwrap deformer.

5. set parallel to Axis as a method and check the along Y check button.

6. nothing seems to happen but now translate the plane back to the ground.

7. the plane should deform along the cone and the cone should slide under the plane when translated.
