Solved: Can't import .mov file into Maya

(For Maya 2020)

I click (View > Image Plane > Import Movie) then select my .mov file when I get this error in the bottom right corner.

What codec is used in the mov? Open the Script Editor, there can be other warnings/info regarding the mov you are trying to use.

This is for M2019. Refer to the Help for your Maya version.

This is what the script editor looks like after I import the .mov file.

Also, I'm not exactly sure how to check the codec of a file.

Alright, I solved the problem again lol. Your reply made me check the video codec in the editor in Blender, and once I changed it the video started working. Thanks for replying again, Hamster.
