Is anyone else finding Maya 2024 to be extremely unstable when referencing characters that have a character definition in their reference file and animation with HIK in their animation scene? I've been attempting to teach HIK concepts to a class this semester and stability has been such an issue I've abandoned referencing rigs.
Here, for example, is an attached zipped folder. The zip contains an animation file (tank_ik_animation) and the source rig that's being referenced. If you load the animation file, switch the HIK source to None, then attempt to switch back to the control rig Maya will crash. This has been tested in 2024.2 (as well as 2024.1)
I've also experienced scenes that looks totally fine until reloading the scene, then the control rig is just a ball in the center of the world. (I haven't tested this example since upgrading to 2024.2). However, If I import the reference, save the scene, then reload, the animation comes back.
