Hello everybody.

I am not sure that this forum is a right place to ask this kind of questions , but if somebody will help me I would really appreciate it.

One month ago I discovered for my self something I really would like to do in my life it's animation - rigging.

I am studying Maya right now (I am not university student), but In future I really would like to be rigger. I am just starting to learn few things in internet (youtube, plurasight and etc) about it.  But I feel lack of tutor and I guess if I want to have job in the animation field in future , I need to get some certificates and real tutors. So my question, can somebody advise my some good online rigging course (from beginner to advance) ?

Any advise would be really appreciated ,

Thanks

P.S Sorry if my English a little bit broken 🙂

I would suggest signing up with pluralsight.com. They recently bought Digital Tutors. But they have plenty of ring ng video tutorials from beginner to the more advanced end.

Once you feel comfortable rigging your own stuff start building your portfolio by freelancing. Mayne offer your rigging services on Fiverr. Anything to get "production", get your name out there, and build your portfolio.

not sure, if stuntrigging.org provides online course. However, they have listed their upcoming courses in a few areas of australia and probably, outside AU, the dates do not seem to be finalized. Maybe you check these courses.

CGWorkshop has some good rigging courses. I've taken these 2 and they were very good:

http://www.cgsociety.org/training/course/rigging-techniques-cartoon-to-realistic
http://www.cgsociety.org/training/course/character-facial-rigging-for-production

I just enrolled in this one that's newer called Rigging for Games. It starts in a week so not sure how good it is, but if it's like the other CGWorkshop courses I'm sure it's also very good.

Hey there! I actually made a rigging course about a year ago, has over 14+ hours and over 120 lectures! (:

It goes from the very beginning to more advanced towards the end!

That's my course website there, instead of learning from a tutorial which shows you how to do something, but not explain the why, I in the other hand explain the why you would do things in rigging so you truly understand it! (:
